Small Group Dinners

Portland is fast becoming known for its sustainable food practices, high quality restaurants, and international award winning local beers and wines. We encourage delegates to organize their own “Small Group Dinners” for Monday night. Use this as an opportunity to meet delegates with similar interests, catch up with colleagues…or just an excuse to sample the culinary delights Portland has to offer. There are over 20 restaurants within easy walking distance of the Marriott, and many more are easily accessible (and within the Free Rail Zone) via the Portland Streetcar. The Congress organizers have arranged for “Specials” at local eateries for our delegates – details will be updated as we draw closer to the Congress, so please check this site regularly.
You may wish to be “on your own” to organize your own Small Group Dinner. However, we are encouraging delegates to sign up in eclectic groups (10 or fewer) to enjoy a great meal with new friends. Congress staff will post sign-up sheets at registration, and can advise on restaurant and transport options. Payment will be solely the responsibility of the dinner attendees.
